The World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) Mauritius Qualifier Series continues with a dedicated event for Ladies and Senior Men golfers as the spotlight turns to the prestigious Tamarina Golf Club on 22 August 2026. This special qualifier provides eligible amateur golfers with an exciting opportunity to compete in an official WAGC championship while pursuing qualification for the WAGC Mauritius National Final.
Designed to promote inclusivity and competitive amateur golf, the tournament celebrates talent, sportsmanship, and the continued growth of the game across Mauritius. Players will compete under official WAGC Rules in a professionally organised event that reflects the high standards of the World Amateur Golfers Championship.
Compete for a Place in the National Final
The Tamarina Ladies & Senior Men Qualifier is more than a standalone tournament—it is an important milestone on the Road to the WAGC Mauritius National Final.
Competitors will battle within their respective divisions, with the top two players from each division (eight qualifiers in total) earning a coveted place at the WAGC Mauritius National Final, scheduled for 11 October 2026 at Avalon Golf Club.
The National Final brings together the best amateur golfers from qualifiers held throughout the season, where they will compete for the honour of becoming WAGC Mauritius National Champions and the opportunity to represent Mauritius at the World Amateur Golfers Championship on the international stage.
Tournament Format and Eligibility
The championship will be played as an 18-hole Individual Stroke Play competition in accordance with official WAGC Rules.
Participation is open exclusively to:
- Ladies aged 18 years and above
- Senior Men aged 50 years and above
Players will compete within their designated handicap divisions, ensuring a fair and competitive championship experience for all participants. The event is designed to challenge golfers while rewarding consistency, precision, and strong course management throughout the round.
